The Shire of Dardanup in Western Australia comes under the Ferguson Valley brand: “Enjoy a fresh look at country life”. The main inland town, Dardanup, is now well known for its annual Dardanup Arts Spectacular in May (a must is Follies by the Ferguson at Peppermint Lane Lodge and also a must see is Jenni Doherty Gallery) and the Bull and Barrel Festival each October.  The area  celebrates the beef and dairy and wine industries. The Shire of Dardanup is one of the fastest-growing local government areas in Australia (on the fringes of the City of Bunbury) as well as a largely rural hinterland of lush farmlands, forests and rivers.

Not far away are the towns of Margaret River, Capel, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Donnybrook and Collie.  All these are in easy for a day trip.
